Naples News has instituted one of the most progressive web tools in journalism: a 'chat' facility that circumvents government in the sunshine, Florida's very progressive open records law.
Most county web sites in Fla. that provide email addresses of county commissioners, dept. heads, etc., carry a warning: the text of any email correspondence becomes a part of the public record.
It's possible for two people to communicate privately through the newspaper's 'chat' facility — by sending emails to each others' accounts — without showing or proving the identity of either party.

This blog is under construction
Thanks for finding your way here.
We're in the process of forming this blog to answer consumer questions about affordable housing in Florida.
Our objective is to provide free links to and news about a courageous cadre of independent home builders who are laboring to build houses working families can afford to live in.
While we're learning to herd our ducks, please visit the Florida Housing Finance Corp. site, which offers links to many affordable housing opportunities.
If it's non-commercial news and information you want, visit Florida Workforce Housing Network. That's us.
